Gifts : Mothers Reflect on How Children with Down Syndrome Enrich Their Lives

The Gifts Outreach program provides complimentary copies of Gifts to organizations which serve parents facing a new diagnosis of Down syndrome for their child, either prenatally or postnatally. We believe that the stories in the book provide a vital companionship and support for such parents.

We're Expecting!!!

Yes, we are expecting, can you believe it! And I chose the most beautiful mother to carry our new child.

Here she is.......

LOL! Yes its true! We are going to give Nash that sibling! We have missed our Rudy so much, and our RJ, so I did the research and sent the deposit in today!!

I grew up around goldens, and our family has always had 4-legged fur babies. And while we all know health is no guarantee, instead of rescue this time I went with the pedigreed, health clearanced parents. Losing Rudy so young was so difficult on Nash, and all of us....

so wish us luck! He's due October 23rd (happy birthday Grandma Larson!) and we can bring him home right before Christmas!

Here is the daddy.....

Nash is so excited! (As are we!)

Ooooooooooooh I'm so jealous!!! We lost our 15-year-old dog last year...she was an "oopsey" from a breeder that bred labs and pointers...someone jumped the fence ;)

We now have our hearts set on a golden too!! We are on a waiting list for a puppy at a breeder that breeds and trains goldens as therapy dogs.

Did you ever read the golden story on my blog?

http://bits-of-betsy.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_bits-of-betsy_archive.html

its the 3rd story down.

Goldens are soooooooo beautiful, and such gentle loving dogs.

Have you decided on a name?
