Gifts : Mothers Reflect on How Children with Down Syndrome Enrich Their Lives

The Gifts Outreach program provides complimentary copies of Gifts to organizations which serve parents facing a new diagnosis of Down syndrome for their child, either prenatally or postnatally. We believe that the stories in the book provide a vital companionship and support for such parents.

Lose the Training Wheels

Last week Nash completed a week of Lose the Training Wheels bike camp. He did so well! He is off training wheels (we were using the Fat Wheels which are great but not good to transition to two wheels). He is not 100% riding on his own, but is so much more confident. We use the handle on his two wheel bike and he is riding for about 20 feet at a time by himself. Whoo hoo! Next summer he will be 8 years old and I bet he is riding solo...we shall see!

And we got to see Kerri and Merry and family there too who traveled all the way from Canada!

Here are some pics. I highly recommend this camp! Thank you to all the volunteers, Easter Seals and Rainbows End for sponsoring.

I saw this camp online last week. In fact I blogged about it on Tuesday. I am soo glad that nash and your family had fun. Is he doing it next year? If so maybe we can do it together.
