Congratulations Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers

and husband Brian, on the birth of your baby boy, Cole McMorris Rodgers on April 29th. Mrs. McMorris Rodgers.....for those that want to send notes of congratulations, is a House Rep from Washington State. "Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers said Wednesday that her month-old son, Cole, has been diagnosed with Down syndrome." I so remember this time; you grieve the child you thought you were going to have, and love the one in your arms.....but what I didn't know, was how "typical" it all would be. This is more explained in our GIFTS book. So, Mr. and Mrs. McMorris Rodgers, we will give you time to grieve, live, love, and learn.......then, since you are on the Education and Labor Committee, I may just start asking you to eliminate the NCLB requirements imposed on our schools, requirements that don't allow our children, who meet their IEP goals, to receive that needed high school diploma for further education and employment opportunities. But for now, congratulations and just hug on that cutie pie
